Wildcat Freshman Lose Game Opener to Farmington Hills Harrison
August 30, 2010 by Melanie Fisher

Novi Freshman had a difficult time in their preliminary game against Farmington Harrison on Thursday afternoon. Although the score does not reflect the effort, our boys are learning to play well as a team and trying new strategies to move the ball down the field.

Harrison won the toss and had possession of the ball to start. Ali Taha (22) and Austin Racicot (21) made some excellent defensive tackles in the first quarter. Keaton Figurski (12) carried the ball a few yards with a pass from Quarterback Isaac Burgess (11). Novi was down 22-0 at the half.

Jeffrey Baker (28) had a great tackle in the backfield for negative yards in the 3rd quarter. Baker scored a touchdown in the end of the 3rd quarter which left the score at 30/6. Novi's #56 Bepin Serraj helped avoid the two point conversion at the top of the 4th quarter. Josh Heifer (55) helped push Harrison to the outside therefore out of bounds delaying another touchdown. At the end of the game, the score was 42-6 Harrison. The score overshadowed the effort of our Freshman squad.

The next game will be Wednesday, September 1st @ 4:30 PM here in Novi.
