The Novi Wildcats Men's Cross Country team took second place of 13 teams at the South Lyon Invitational Saturday at Island Lake State Park.

Saline was first overall with 51 points, followed by Novi with 92 points and Northville with 103 points. Host South Lyon took 7th with 209 points.

For Novi, the top finishers included Joe Schubring (3rd place overall), Brett Giampa (5th), Chase Conrad (20th),  Eric Gardner (24th) and Dan Lee (40th).
