 Inline 'Cats Undefeated After Rolling
Past Walled Lake Western 7-4

5/6/07 Submitted to Novi.org

Novi's Varsity Inline Hockey Team remains undefeated heading into the final weekend of league play following a convincing 7-4 win over Walled Lake Western. The victory has the 'Cats fighting for first place with the Howell Highlanders.

"The kids came to play today and it showed. The Warriors are a talented team and we arose to the occasion," said Head Coach John Smith.

Novi was lead by Captain Shawn Baxter, who had a tremendous evening scoring 4 goals and 1 assist.

"This is Shawn's first experience with roller hockey and we knew that at tryouts. We also knew he would develop into one the top players in the league with all the skill he possesses," said Coach Brad Zarem.

The Wildcats have their final 3 games of league play this weekend, and will finish up May 18th-20th in the State Tournament at Joe Dumars Field House in Shelby Twp.
