Novi Men's Cross County 2nd of 42
teams at the Spartan Invitational

The Wildcats traveled west to East Lansing Friday to compete in one of the biggest and most widely watched Michigan Cross Country events of each season - the Spartan Invitational. Those amazing 'Cats placed second in a field of 42 teams, with Kensington Valley Conference rival Pinckney taking first place overall.

For Novi, Mike Wheat (16:41) was first across the finish line, followed by  Alex Prasad (16:42), Kenny MacDonough (16:51), Joshua Lumley (16:57), Mike Beard (17:03), Aaron Croad (17:41) and Alfredo Cateriano (18:06).

The women's team was 27th overall. Top finishes included Laura Sheeran (21:08), Lainey Sekulowski (21:50), Andrea Kramer (21:59), Taylor Hoover (22:31), Nicki Woodruff (22:48), Rachel Burris (23:03) and Kelli Brown (23:11).
