Just a day before the new Varsity Inline playoffs start, Novi showed their depth by soundly defeating Plymouth 5-2 at Total Sports in Wixom. Plymouth wasn't able to answer Novi's onslaught until the third period.

Mike Arnold started things off in the first period with a power-play goal, followed by another goal to make it 2-0 Novi after one.

In a chippy second period, Novi's Kyle Mouch scored the lone goal unassisted.

Plymouth started things off for the first time in the third period. Ryan Fox answered back with a goal before Plymouth scored again. Steve Rousseau sealed Plymouth's fate with the final goal of the evening.

That brings Novi's record up to 6-2-1 going into playoffs this weekend. Friday evening, Novi plays this weekend: Friday 7PM vs. Rochester, Saturday 3:45PM vs. Canton and Saturday 9PM vs. Lake Orion.
