Novi falls to Brighton 9-6

In a hard fought shoot-out, the Novi Wildcats lost to the Brighton Bulldogs 9-6.

Brighton scored the first two goals of the game before Novi answered on a goal by Steve Rousseau with an assist to Tom Ciaverilla. Brighton scored again to lead 3-1 after the end of the first period.

The second period again saw Brighton with two unanswered goals. Novi answered with two goals on goals by Tom Ciaverilla and Jeff Donahue. Assisting on the goals were Ryan Timar and Shamus Finnerty. Brighton came back with two more goals before Steve Rousseau scored again with Ciaverilla and Timar assisting. The second period ended with Brighton leading 7-4.

Novi came back strong in the third period with two unanswered goals to make the score 7-6. Steve Rousseau had a power play goal with yet another assist for Ryan Timar and also an assist to Ryan Fox. Jeff Donahue scored again with Mike Arnold notching the assist. Brighton scored once again and ended the game with an empty net goal to win 9-6.
