Novi falls to East Grand Rapids 8-3

The Hockey Wildcats headed west to East Grand Rapids Saturday, but fell to the #9 ranked Pioneers 8-3. It was Novi's first loss in the last six games.

EGR scored four in the first period to Novi's two - by Tom Ciaverilla and Ryan Timar, and the Pioneers never looked back.

The second period was even, with both teams scoring a goal. Steve Rousseau put one between the posts for Novi. In the third period, the Pioneers scored three to seal the 'Cats fate for the evening.

Brad Clos was in net for Novi, and played a great game while stopping 23 shots. Ciaverilla had 3 points, while Timar and Rousseau had 2 each.

The Wildcats are now 6-7-2 for the season.

Wednesday, the Wildcats face-off against Brighton at Novi at 6:00 p.m.
