Hockey Cats Down Hartland Eagles 2-1
Third victory in a row for Novi; Clos has "stellar night"

1/24/2006 by Scott Olson

It was as gritty as hockey comes, and Novi stood up to the challenge with a 2-1 road victory over the Hartland Eagles Monday evening. Steve Rousseau scored both goals with assists from Ryan Fox and Ryan Timar. The Wildcats played some solid hockey through all zones.

"Special teams won the game for us scoring two power play goals, and hats off to the penalty killing on 8 of 9 power plays. Brad Clos had another stellar night stopping 13 of 14 as Novi again out shot there opponent 25-14," commented Assistant Coach John Smith following the game.

That makes Novi 6-6-2 for the season, and 4-4-1 in the KVC. In the last five games Novi is 3-0-2.

Saturday the Wildcats head west to take on East Grand Rapids - the 9th ranked Division III team in the state.
