Bulldogs Catch Cats 2-1
Excellent hockey action at Brighton!
12/9/2005 by Scott Olson

The Wildcats played their best hockey of the season to date in a battle against the Bulldogs at Brighton Wednesday. Novi's team leaders, including Ryan Fox, Tom Ciaverilla, Steve Rousseau and Ryan Timar all lead by example - staying out of the box and dominating the ice.

Rousseau scored in the first period off a Ciaverilla pass, making it a tie game after one period of play. Brighton managed to sneak one between the posts in the second, and both teams played some solid defense in the third, scoreless period, giving Brighton the 2-1 victory.

"Brad Clos had his best performance to date as a Wildcat with 15 saves," noted Coach John Smith following the game.

Novi out-shot Brighton 19-17.

Next up for the Wildcats, a home game Wednesday against the Lions of South Lyon. On Saturday, Dec. 17th Novi and Northville meet at Compuware in Plymouth. Then the Cats are off until their annual road trip to the U.P. January 6 - 7.
