Free health seminars slated for Novi-area residents
October 18, 2011

Novi, Mich. —  Three free health seminars are slated for Novi-area residents in the coming days...

Food Labels and Popular Misconceptions will be presented on Tuesday, October 25th from 7 -8:30 p.m. at the Novi Public Library. Does zero Transfat on the label mean that there is no Transfat in your food? What do the words “Fat Free” or “Organic” imply and what do they really mean on labels? There are messages on the front, sides and back of almost every food product available for purchase. Deciphering these labels may seem easy, but the more you know the better off you will be in your choices.

Join the Director of Nutrition Services from Providence Park Hospital for a fun and educational discussion. Enter to win FREE nutrition-based prizes including a personal review of your family’s pantry by a Registered Dietician.

“A Better You!” is an ongoing partnership of the Novi Public Library, Providence Park Hospital and You! Join us for monthly interactive discussions on hot topics in health, and you’ll walk away with an educated perspective - and you just might win some cool prizes too! Events are geared toward open discussion about issues important to you and your family.
