Health & Wellness Fair Thursday in Novi

Novi, Mich. — In its fourth year, the Novi Health and Wellness Fair continues to grow and to meet the needs of the community. This year's fair  will be held from 3:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 13th at the Novi Civic Center, located on Ten Mile Road west of Novi Road.

The Health Fair is a great opportunity to learn ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle directly from area health care providers. The event is designed to assist everyone - older adults, working folks, and children.

Over 40 local health care and wellness service providers will be at the fair providing information, free health screening, workshops, and demonstrations. Novi's Providence Park Hospital will have staff and physicians on hand, and will be able to perform risk assessments for participants, especially focusing on heart and cancer screening, at no charge.

Flu shots will be available for adults and children and given on a first come, first serve basis. The flu shot price is $25 without insurance or free with Medicare Part B, Medicare Advantage, Blue Care Network, HAP, Priority Plus and Health Care Plus.

New additions to the fair include the Ask-a-Pharmacist booth, provided by Sav-On Drugs, and an American Red Cross Blood Drive. To register for the blood drive, visit www.redcrossblood.org and use sponsor code: Novi or call 313-549-7052.
