Novi, Mich. — For the residents of Novi, campaign yard signs
can become as controversial as the candidates they support. Novi
Mayoral candidate Justin Fischer understands the concerns of Novi
residents and pledges he will not place “Fischer for Mayor” campaign
signs until a month prior to the November 8 election.
“In my nearly decade serving Novi, I
have heard from countless residents and business owners that they
find campaign yards signs distracting and obtrusive to the
community,” said Justin Fischer, Novi Mayoral Candidate and Novi
City Council Member. “During my time on Novi City Council and five
years on the Novi Zoning Board of Appeals I have worked tirelessly
to protect the property values for residents. This is why I am
making this voluntary pledge to keep property in Novi clear of
‘Fischer for Mayor’ until Oct. 8, one month prior to the election.”
Since being appointed to the Zoning
Board of Appeals in 2004, Fischer has been committed to ensuring
that businesses and other signs in Novi are within ordinance,
aesthetically pleasing and tasteful, and most importantly not a
public safety concern.
“Novi residents take pride in their
yards and city streets and it is our duty as elected officials to
maintain the lawns and roadsides of Novi,” said Fischer. “It is
important for citizens of Novi to know that as their future Mayor
and current councilmember I am devoted to keep property values high
for the people and business owners of Novi.”
In addition to waiting to place
“Fischer for Mayor” campaign signs until a month before the Nov. 8th
election, Fischer promises citizens to remove political campaign
signs immediately after the election.
