Too
hot? Cool of at several Novi locations today!
July 19, 2011
NOVI, MI – With
heat
indexes approaching 100 today, and expected to be around 100 for the
next couple days, Novi residents are reminded that there are several
locations in town to cool off.
The
Novi Senior Center on Meadowbrook
Road, south of Grand River Avenue, is available for all residents from 8:00 a.m. through 4:30 p.m.
daily. Stop by with a book, come and watch TV, make a reservation
for lunch or join in the activities. All ages are welcome.
The
Novi Public Library is open 10:00
a.m. through 9:00 p.m. Located on Ten Mile Road just east of Taft,
the new library has something for everyone, including new
state-of-the-art air conditioning.
Of course,
Twelve Oaks Mall is always
popular when it's really warm out. Get some exercise walking while
you visit dozens of quality stores at Michigan's #1 mall, located on
Novi Road just north of I-96.
If movies are your thing,
Emagine is the nicest theater
around. You can even enjoy a cool drink in air conditioned comfort.
If you have elderly neighbors,
friends or relatives, be sure to check on them and offer them a
comfortable place to cool off too.
Here's more
heat related safety information
from Novi Public Safety.
