announces plans to run for reelection
2/8/2011
NOVI, MI - Novi City Council Member
David Staudt, a long-time, active Novi resident, announced yesterday
his plans to run for reelection in November. Below is the full text
of his announcement.
Dear Citizens of
Novi:
I am pleased to
announce that I am running for re-election to Novi City Council.
I was elected to
serve you 3 ½ years ago. During that time, I believe that I’ve
helped Novi become a better place to live and raise a family, as
well as a place to invest and grow a business. I have strived to
encourage an open, transparent government for and by all of the
people of our City.
If elected to
another term, I pledge to continue to bring improvements to our
quality of life in the areas of roads, senior services, public
safety, trails and pathways, parks, recreational and cultural
services and sustainable economic development, which will mean jobs
and an expanded and diverse tax base for our City. I will
continue to promote fiscally responsible principles and policies for
an efficient, cost-effective City government, and safeguard every
single hard-earned tax dollar.
I am honored to
receive the endorsements of Novi Mayor David Landry, Mayor Pro-Tem
Bob Gatt, County Commissioner Kathy Crawford, State Representative
Hugh Crawford and State Senator Mike Kowall for my re-election
effort. During the next decade, opportunities that will benefit and
challenge Novi will be numerous and complex. I am extremely
confident we can work together to achieve great, positive results
for our City. I am excited about serving you as part of an
excellent team of elected officials and City employees!
I ask that you
consider allowing me to continue to work diligently to represent
each of you and your families to the best of my ability as a Council
member for the City of Novi. In short, I pledge to continue to work
with you to build a Novi that is fiscally responsible, accountable,
accessible, transparent and is respected throughout the State and
Country.
Thank you.
