At the August 12th special meeting, the Novi Community Schools Board of Education approved reducing Pay-to-Play athletic fees to last year's levels.

For high school students, the new fee is $175 per student per sport (down from $350), with a $350 per student maximum.

For middle school students, the new fee is $75 per student per sport (down from $150), with a $225 per student maximum.

There is an overall $700 per family maximum also. Students who qualify for free or reduced lunches pay reduced athletic fees. Details are available online here.

For Fall athletes who have already paid the higher fees, there are two options. 1) Do nothing and the extra payment will be credited for future sports fees this year, or 2) email athleticrefunds@novi.k12.mi.us by 4:00 p.m. Thursday, August 19th and request a refund of the difference.

NOVI, MI – At last evening's Novi Board of Education Meeting, funding was restored for athletic transportation. The funding had been cut during previous budget discussions, but changes in the budget since that time allowed the service to be restored for the coming school year.

Also Thursday evening, the Board of Education considered, but made no decision, on reducing the per-student athletic fees. The Novi Schools Athletic Department advises that no additional fees will be collected until a final decision is made.

The School Board will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 12 at the Educational Services Building on Taft Road to discussion possible reductions on athletic pay-to-play fees for the coming school year.
