Novi Police responded to an initial report that a male was spotted with a gun leaving a residence near the school. Upon further investigation by the police, it was learned that the subject had actually purchased the “air soft” gun at a nearby yard sale. He was not deemed to be a threat to the security of students and staff at the school.

The lock down was cancelled upon the advice of the Novi Police Department at 10:12 am.
