
Novi Credit Union Robbed Friday

Friday afternoon at 12:33 p.m., the
Novi Police Department received a hold-up alarm from the Family
Service Credit Union, located on Ten Mile Road near Meadowbrook.
The suspect entered the bank, walked
up to the teller, and handed the teller a note demanding money from
the cash drawers. A weapon was not used or implied. The suspect fled
on foot to the parking lot and may have driven off in a black
four-door sedan with tinted rear windows.
The suspect is described as a white
male, between 25 and 40 years of age, and approximately 5' 7" tall.
He had a very thin build and was wearing a white, nylon jacket with
orange accents, dark shorts, and flip – flop sandals, and was
wearing a dark baseball cap with unknown green lettering on it.
There have been additional bank
robberies in Metro Detroit communities. It is unknown if this
suspect is involved in those crimes. The Novi Police Department is
coordinating investigative efforts with the FBI, as well as other
area police departments.
