Northville scored 3 in the first. Novi came back with 3 from Fegert (1) and Baxter (2) to tie things up before Northville scored 2 late in the third to seal their victory. Hofelich had 2 assists.

Novi ices Livonia Churchill 7-3

Novi started off strong with two first period goals by Mike O'Reilly and Bryan Fegert, both power play goals. Churchill scored three in the second, two on power plays, to Novi's two (Kennedy and Tewillager) to make it a 4-3 game. Novi came on strong in the third with three unanswered goals (Baxter, Fegert and Wexler). Austin Petty handled the net for the Wildcats.

Novi shuts out South Lyon Unified 8-0 in mercy game

After a score-less first period, Novi came on strong to mercy South Lyon Unified 8-0. Six of Novi's goals were on power plays. Junior Brad Hofelich had a hat-trick and three assists to lead the 'Cats. Junior Bryan Fegert and Chris Kennedy each had a goal and three assists. Also scoring for Novi was ike O'Reilly, Josh Ward and Brendan Wexler.

Novi falls to Farmington 2-1 in overtime at Metro Invite

Bryan Fegert had the Wildcat goal. Farmington then came back late in the third to tie things up, sending the game into overtime.


Metro Invite Hockey Invitational:  Novi falls to Rochester Unified 3-2

Senior Captain Chris Kennedy had both Wildcat goals. Novi takes on Farmington at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Novi High School names Mark Vellucci the new Wildcat Hockey Head Coach

It was announced this morning that Novi High School has selected Mark Vellucci, 41 of Novi, as the new Head Hockey Coach. Vellucci was the head coach for Farmington since 2001. He has many years of hockey experience, including stints in the NAHL, COHL and ECHL from '89 - '94. Mark's brother Mike is the head coach of the Plymouth Whalers.

Vellucci will be joined by long-time Wildcat assistant coaches Jim Lewis and Travis Malott, and long-time team manager Donna Malott. Ms. Donna has been with the team since it's inception.
