Novi's Paid-On-Call Firefighters recently created a new website to provide the community with information about their group, and also to provide helpful fire prevention tips. It's a well designed website that everyone should take the time to visit.

Novi has been blessed for many years with a top-notch fire department. While remaining one of the lower cost operations in the region, Novi FD provides consistently high quality service to the People of Novi.

The new website explains this most eloquently:
The City of Novi utilizes a cost effective - dual emergency response system - consisting of full-time career firefighters and Paid-On Call (POC) members. This ensures that your hard earned tax dollars are spent wisely by providing the necessary resources when and where they are required.

In a state and at a time where government services seem to grow continually larger without a corresponding increase in service, Novi FD has held the line by effectively providing service in a manner that originated way back in Ben Franklin's day. And they do it in a manner that old Ben would be proud of.

We the People are very pleased to have such quality fire protection services in Novi, especially at a reasonable cost. We have top-notch firefighters, both full and part-time, and most don't give it a second thought. When you call 9-1-1, you know they will be there.

So we say thanks once again, not only for our fine fire department's ongoing efforts, but also for the little things like this new website, which shows the ongoing commitment of this fine group of people.
