Just
Doing Their Job
A view of Novi PD from the inside -
Chris rides along with Novi's finest
Whether it’s a drug
bust or a minor traffic stop; the Novi police are only doing their
job. It’s now been over 50 years of hard work and dedication that
the Novi police force has done its job to protect and serve the
community. Just like a teacher helping students learn; police
officers help the citizens of the community learn and abide by the
rules of the law.
Police do not target certain individuals or age groups like some
think; patrolling officers are simply out there working a long
and hard 12 hour shifts, assuring the safety of the People and making
sure no crimes are being committed.

At
the helm of the Novi police station, which is named after the great
chief BeGole, Novi Police Chief David Molloy is proud to represent
the Novi Police and the People of Novi. After taking over for Chief
Doug Shaeffer, who tragically passed away at the age of 60 in
August, Chief Molloy has filled in and fit the job perfectly. A hard
worker and a husband and father to a family of his own, Chief Molloy
does it all, and does it for the better of his community.
The Novi Police along with other cities are judged by some as
dictators, who say they are the real “bad guys”. That is not true.
Police are out there every day putting their life on the line, and
dedicating their lives to helping others. Public safety is what
police help achieve, and officers do this in an excellent manner
here in Novi.
