Borders of Novi
Enjoy a book and coffee in comfort

Originating in 1971 with the opening of their first book store, a used book store near the university of Michigan campus, Borders of Ann Arbor Michigan was the first of many stores which are now widely known around the nation and even in several foreign countries.

Borders is the second-largest and most profitable book, music, and movie retailer in the world. With over 34,000 employees, the Borders team continues to provide its customers with the books, music, movies, and other entertainment products they love in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere.

In 2003, Borders teamed up with T-Mobile to make T-Mobile Wi-Fi HotSpot service available in Borders stores in the U.S. This means the customers can sit down and use their wireless laptops in comfort.

Now that it’s starting to get a bit cold outside, and a relaxing sit-down and read session in the park can’t be done until May, Borders offers the chance to enjoy a book or some quiet time to get work done on your lap-top. Anyone can walk right in and have a cup of coffee or hot chocolate from their café - which is another delight offered.

With a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere, Borders is the place to go when time is needed to just relieve some stress and have a good time. Borders has always strongly encouraged browsing, and you’ll find benches and chairs throughout their stores.

Borders of Novi is located in the Town Center, on the east side of Novi road just north of Grand River Avenue.

Stop in, warm up, and get comfortable today. You can even read my next column there!

On a regular basis, we bring you information
on parts of Novi you might not know about --
restaurants, shops, interesting places, history,
and things you just won't find anywhere else!

Chris Lilla is a life-long Novi resident, and a
senior at Novi High School. Chris knows Novi.
